BOLAVEN PLATEAU HOME-STAY EXPERIENCE

Depart from Pakse and travel to the Bolaven Plateau, stopping at a village renowned for its traditional blacksmithing and handmade knife production. Continue to local coffee and tea plantations to learn about cultivation methods and the economic importance of these crops.

Visit the dramatic Tad Fan Waterfall, followed by a short hike to Tad Yeung Waterfall, where lunch will be served. Guests may take time to relax or swim.

In the afternoon, explore Paksong Market, an excellent introduction to local daily life. Proceed to a Mon-Khmer ethnic village, whose people originate from present-day Cambodia, to observe their distinctive traditions, language, and lifestyle.
Overnight at the village homestay.

After breakfast with your host family, visit nearby ethnic villages and learn about the cultural diversity of the Bolaven Plateau. Continue to a waterfall where a trek begins, passing another waterfall before reaching a Ngae ethnic village, offering insight into the differences between Ngae, Mon-Khmer, and lowland Lao cultural practices.

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Conclude the day with a visit to a final waterfall before returning to Pakse in the late afternoon.
