Day 1 :

Arrival in Vientiane & Scenic Nam Ngum Lake

Upon landing at Vientiane Wattay International Airport, your private guide will greet you and accompany you to Lao Kitchen Restaurant for a traditional Lao lunch.

Begin your exploration of Vientiane, a city where serene Buddhist temples, French colonial architecture, and leafy boulevards create a timeless charm. Visit Wat Sisaket, the city’s oldest temple, famed for its intricate frescoes and more than 6,800 Buddha statues. Then step into Ho Phra Keo, a former royal temple and now a museum displaying exquisite Lao Buddhist art, antique brass drums, and ancient palm-leaf manuscripts. The temple once housed the famed Emerald Buddha, now located in Bangkok.

Continue to Patuxay Monument, Vientiane’s iconic victory arch inspired by Paris’ Arc de Triomphe, before visiting the That Luang Stupa, Laos’ national symbol. Built in 1566, its gilded structure rises 45 meters and is said to contain sacred relics of the Buddha.

In the afternoon, drive to the tranquil Nam Ngum Lake. Enjoy a 1-hour boat cruise through lush backwaters, observing traditional river life and local farming practices along the way. Relax and soak in the peaceful natural scenery before returning to your resort for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 02 :

Nam Ngum Lake, Cultural Stops & Departure

After breakfast, travel back to Vientiane along Route No. 10, making a stop at The Vientiane Art Museum is an art museum located in the Nongseum area of Vientiane, Laos. It’s a place where you can explore a variety of artworks that reflect Lao culture, history, and artistic creativity. The museum offers visitors a chance to see paintings, sculptures, and other expressive works that showcase the country’s artistic traditions and modern pieces

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before reaching Vientiane in the late afternoon for your onward journey.
